Soap: Ivory bars

Deodorant: Mitchim 48 hour unscented

It is worth understanding that nothing is truly unscented

These just don't add much and I end up smelling fresh & clean - or so I'm told - it's also worth remembering that we never really understand our own scent. We get used to it far too quick.

This combo, even thoguh I never wear cologne, it won't fight with the cologne.

I also use basic dandruff shampoo that has no extra added scents.

If your shampoo smells, and your soap smells, and your deodorant smells, and your shaving cream/gel/etc. has a scent... and then you add cologne you are layering all kinds of chaos together.

Once I realized this (as a much younger man) I focused on cleaning products that made me clean and then I could add scents to a neutral base vs. AXE AXE AXE AXE. :)

If your cleaning products are going to have scents, at least make sure they all work together and with any cologne you throw on top

May the Gods who don't exist help anyone who gets within smelling distance at that point :)

You should find a different store man. Those are all MOIST as FUCK. Takes forever to get clean using those fucking things. At least to my squeaky standards. Here. Just get it from Amazon.

You're never going to be able to compete with large commercial soaps on price. If you buy in bulk, you can get the price under $3 per pound not counting fragrance or essential oils. 10 bars of Ivory (2.4 pounds) will set you back $4, and you don't have to worry about splashing lye water in your kitchen. And speaking of fragrances, you can get soap made with Mysore essential sandalwood oil for about $6 per pound. You're not gonna be able to touch that at home.

I render my own tallow from trimmings I get for free, which brings the price down a little more. But still ... it's a hobby, not a cost-saving venture.
