Surprised this isnt the first answer you received:
There are speakers known as "flat" speakers. studio headphones and studio monitors.
The "flat" speakers sound "true" as in they dont increase or decrease any frequencies and your sound comes through clear exactly how the audio file says it should sound like.
example
This is your first step
The second step is to listen to your song on reference speakers. the "car test" listening to your song in the car for example is popular.
Mastering engineers will also give the producer different versions of your song based on where its supposed to be played. standard mp3 mixes for mp3players/youtube etc, indoors club mixes, outdoor club mixes, etc.

Extra storage, custom water cooling loop, and custom audio setup should all be considered. I can get you recommendations for that stuff as well if you want.
Edit 1: Here is a starting grade audiophile setup. You can easily spend $10000 here on things like a 4000 watt subwoofer that goes down to 15Hz and has the volume of a 747 at takeoff. Not recommended.
JDSLABS DAC. - A DAC designed to be a giant killer. It succeeded and is absolutely fantastic for its price.
KRK RP8G3 Studio Monitors - Studio monitors that produce accurate sound with enough volume to please most people.
KRK K10S Subwoofer - Matching subwoofer to pair with the RP8G3's, extends the frequency range low enough that you can let the block know when you get home.
i've heard of people using things like egg cartons for acoustics and some other sound absorbing materials. investing in quality studio monitors is where i would begin. i've heard nothing but good things about the krk rokit 8s. they're not that expensive either. also, a quality computer would be very beneficial. it doesn't have to be a mac, but a very well put together computer with at least 8 gigs of ram and a dual core processor.
