You can try Likas papaya, I haven't used it but i've read good reviews and I feel like it'll be a safer bet than a chemical option since its supposed to be natural.
I've used Kojie San soap which is very popular in Asia. I got sun burned and was several shades darker but i'm back to my natural shade in less than a month. This one's a bit drying so I'd be weary about using it in such a sensitive area.
