The Detolf with some extra glass shelves is probably the most popular choice. I use a wall mounted shot glass display case.

I think you should look for a Curio Shadow Box. I have seen chips dispayed in them before and it looks really cool.

This one is expensive but shows the idea of what I mean.

Thanks! It was a little pricey, but it is very well built, and has a hinged acrylic door so my Minifigs are protected, but still easily accessible. It is from displaygifts.com, but I ordered it through Amazon (it was cheaper).
