Logitech's Dongle

Logitech's low latency gaming dongle

Most modern bluetooth Dongles

Most modern Wifi dongles

I am incredibly disappointed is the sheer size of the Steam Controller's dongle. It's huge compared to most modern counterparts. The best modern dongles are small enough to leave in laptop while on the go, but not the Steam Controller. The best devices are both Dongle and Bluetooth; the built in bluetooth dongle that is part of my computer is unarguably more a "compact form factor".

The Steam Controller's dongle not in any way a "compact form factor".

Edit: I would like to point out that I understand WHY it's large. But that doesn't mean it isn't "large". That's like trying to claim an industrial grade truck isn't huge because it carries so much. It's still huge, but it's huge for a reason and trying to claim it's "compact" would be just lying.

Looks like you're out of luck with that brand, unfortunately. Sometimes Logitech mice can use replacement receivers but that brand does not appear to.

Edit: It would appear that if your mouse has the 'Unifying' logo, replacements are available. Not sure about your specific mouse though. Here's an Amazon link for example.

If it's logitech and has a orange colored unifying symbol on it then yes. Otherwise it can be turned into a paperweight.

All you can do is return and buy elsewhere. Their stock is tainted and they have no mechanism to fix it.

I bought a logitech usb dongle for mice on there last week. I specifically paid 15 bucks for the newer slimmer version. They sent me the older 10 dollar one.

I knew the stock was tainted, but I had them send me a replacement anways. I stressed on the chat that their stock is messed up and they need to have someone physical verify the new dongle. Dude actually said they would check the stock.

Nope got the same wrong item. Had to return it and buy directly from logitech since other stores were sold out.

Correct item I ordered: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072JW9LT8/

If it's a unifying dongle, yes. If it's a dongle from a cheap set, maybe not.

Check out the below amazon link, and look for the orange logo on the dongle and the mouse/keyboard. If it's got the logo on the receiver and the device you're fine.

I just went on Logitech's website for your K270 KB & m185 mouse. If you scroll down these pages, you'll see that they can use a unifying receiver. You can pay $15 at Logitech or pick it up cheaper at Amazon.

all work fine with my mx master, mx anywhere 2, K830.

didn't try with g903 or g703 since both of those connect to my powerplay mat.

Perhaps something like this?

Hopefully they are all in different rooms so you don’t interact with more than one at a time.

Ideally you would have something where you could select which receiver it went to but I’ve never seen anything of that type.

Edit: Now I have, this should be your ticket right here.

  1. Those are probably charging ports, which have extra power for charging things like phones or tablets. Some motherboards have them. You can also get a 3.5" bay USB expansion thing that has at least one.
  2. DisplayPort is preferred for computers. HDMI is mainly used on TVs, although it is not uncommon to use with a computer anyway
  3. Not sure, sorry
  4. Yes, you'll lose some personalization options like changing the desktop background. There will also be a watermark on your main monitor, asking you to purchase Windows
  5. Do you mean this thing? Dude, it's 10 bucks!
