I can't help you with the poses but I have some experience with the hair. I have hair that's all the way down my back right now. Do a tight french braid. If it's thick enough that a single one leaves a visible lump going across the top of your head do pigtail french braids. For your wig, get some detanger to comb through it. It won't prevent all tangles but it'll help ease straightening it out again. When you're not wearing it, put it on a foam head and the head on a stand Some T pins will help keep it in place. During transport I've found it helpful to loosely braid the wig and put a hair net gently over it too.
This brush is my favorite brush for brushing wigs!
You want to use something with plastic bristles that will bend against the plastic wig fibers instead of just straight up breaking them to get through like a metal bristled brush would. For detangling anyway.
When brushing, start at the bottom with little motions and slowly work your way up. And be gentle so you don't break the wig fibers, that can make it more frizzy.
Also I use mane-n-tail detangler too! It's for horses but lots of wig stylists recommended it! Linky
Also soaking in fabric softener can help restore frizzy ones too.
And if all else fails, and you know the wig is heat resistant, you can use a steamer to brush out and straighten it, and then recurl it.
