I would love this sketchbook or this book for my husband. Or for that matter any of the many nail polishes on either my Canadian wishlist or my American wishlist. I love nail polish. :D
Okay, the best comfort food for me after being away from home for long is a delicious sweet chili glazed chicken with mashed potatoes (skins left on), with grilled corn on the cob and freshly sliced and sauteed zucchini and yellow squash! Soooo delicious and soooo good for you! You definitely won't feel hungry an hour later, thats for sure! :) I'd probably wash it down with a good ole lemonade or iced tea (add some nice whiskey if you so desire!) As for dessert i'm partial to some strawberry frozen yoghurt in a nice waffle cone! :)

As an illustrator. The best gift I have ever recieved was a small pocket sized moleskin watercolor sketch book with a pentel brush pen and the windsor newton travel water color pack.
All three are teensy and I always have them in my bag for when I'm bored or have down time.

Paints last for ever, the pentel takes(and comes with) ink refills and is pretty much indestructible and the moleskin will end up being one of dozens. Personally I like keeping a tiny one just so I always have one stashed. But I get moleskin sketchbooks compulsively. They are nice to have to many of
