It can be daunting, for sure. Here's the one I recently researched and purchased for my wife, and it's in your budget range.

Friend of mine is moving and can't take all his computer stuff with him. He's offering me this lot for $600.

Question is, while this whole build is nearly 1/2 the price of an equivalent PCPartPicker build, is this computer about to be so outdated that it is not worth buying now? Would it be better to wait a few more months for GPU's and RAM prices to dip and build my own mITX system?

Note, I have all my own peripherals already.

That monitor is 3440x1440 isn't that 4k, I guess I'll stick to 1080p to help bring the budget down. I also heard that 1080p shows bigger pixels and that its recommended if it's under 24" do you think the same applies to curved widescreen monitors? I was using the same site and found this, do you recommend this one?
