You should be fine for your 10 days, but then address it immediately (i.e. buy a new sponge, they're cheap).
Mold throws out spores in the air. That's how it spreads. So it'll spread throughout your guitar and guitar case and you'll breathe that shit in as well, which isn't good either.

Why don't you preorder the Nomad sponge from Amazon while you're away so it'll be in your mailbox (i.e. I assume you do mail hold with USPS.com). Of course, you can buy this locally if you're not out in the boonies. BTW, Guitar Center online orders will be held at the store for pickup, as I don't think sponge cartridge refills are stocked at the local stores.
