I tried one of the sublingual B-12s mentioned in that post. I think it was this one:

I got a minor but noticeable energetic buzz from them for a couple of days, and then nothing. Might as well try it again.
The B12/Methylation rabbit hole goes pretty deep - I've long since given up trying to keep track of all the twists and turns.
