It's about 2x the price, but you don't need towers for each room, and it has better suction and longer battery life. I own 2 large dogs, and this vacuum, and I have nothing but good things to say about it.

A neato is a slightly cheaper alternative. We've had one for about a year, and I do not regret the purchase. It's made our living situation much more bearable, as we have hardwood floors that the cats track litter all over.
