I got this tank recently and I ordered a Nicrew submersible LED light and secured it next to the stock light. I used gorilla super glue gel to secure the suction cups to the hood then used water resistant gorilla tape to further secure it. Working great so far. The light is cheap on Amazon and I got the tape/glue at Lowes. With both lights together, I have plenty of illumination imo. I got the 13.8in size which is a perfect fit under the hood. I copied this idea from someone on a different forum. Fish Lore maybe idk. Brilliant idea on the cheap imo.

I have mine pretty much at the same orientation shown in the video and it works beautifully. Initially, I didn't use glue and tried using electrical tape to secure it which didn't do the job well. With the gorilla glue/tape, I could pick up the hood by grabbing the light and it stays secure.
I got a couple Nicrew submersible LED wands. The water surface is so close to the lid I wanted something water proof.
