I have that exact machine. It's terribly noisy, but makes good ice cream. :)
Congratulations Jen!!
Blender + Ice cream maker
The biggie that I want on my WL is a guitalele - half guitar, half ukulele. I'm learning to play uke and my mom got me a workable starter ukulele, but I played around on this one in a local music shop and fell in love. My hands aren't suited for playing a normal guitar, even a 3/4 size one. I love piano, but there are some songs in my head that just don't work for it.
Little ones are a tea kettle (my microwave crapped out last year, and boiling water in a pot on the stove is a pain in the ass) and an ice cream maker (food allergies make me miss my favorite food, and non-dairy non-artificial coloring ice cream doesn't come cheap)
A woden letter m and an ice cream maker
We can decorate the m while I make her a new batch because I ate all the ice cream before she woke up from her nap.
Schmad on my add on
I'm gonna go the selfish route on this one, just because getting that ice cream maker would be the highlight of my year. So, a single $25 winner
don't go talking too loud you'll cause a landslide, Mr. Jones
Freezing the mixing bowl and bucket won't make a difference on this type of mixer. The bowl is a very thin aluminum and the outer bucket is just thin plastic.
I am filling the mixing bowl halfway or less which is what I see recommended.
Thanks for the information. I am just trying to eliminate the problems some of the people are coming up with. I think it may have to do with the fact that I mixed it too much while bringing the mix up to temp. I pulled a lot of the fat out of the batter by vigorously mixing which hasn't happened before. I am not sure the mechanism for why it isn't freezing but I think that is looking like a possible culprit.
