Yes, with the preamps built into the YAGH interface - or with a standalone preamp such as the Triton Fethead.

Yes. If budget permits, you should get a high quality supercardioid dialogue mic for interior dialogue (not a shotgun - here is why) a boom pole, an external recorder and headphones and hire a boom op.

If not, you may end up recording to camera - in which case, a headphone jack is essential (several times, having headphones has saved me from recording extraneous noises that I couldn't see on the camera's meters).
