Make your own External drive, it's completely random. You can buy 5 of the same external drive, and have 5 different HDD's inside them. These are great for 2.5" drives.
I've tried many drive enclosures through work and the large Orico one (as you pointed out) with power brick seems to work best (https://www.newegg.com/p/0VN-0003-000W7). The small Orico ones aren't very reliable for me (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B0RD2RA). Other brands work, too, but Orico is what I've used most.
Thanks for the compliments! I'm grateful my work has let me work remotely. I've been building up everything slowly over the last decade+; parts started off cheap or modest and eventually got upgraded as I learned what suited me best. The storage server was my girlfriend's PC when she went off to do post-graduate schooling. She loves taking photos so it stored all images and cellphone backups. Now that we're living together I was able consolidate things, i.e. she can use the gaming PC for editing while I can install Linux on her PC to become server.
those little connectors are specific to the shape of the casing it came with.
if you are simply trying to fix a broken portable drive, i would suggest a whole new enclosure.
