I don't use this product for facial hair but do use it for my bikini area. I'd tried a few - most charged via the mains - and usually had issues with the product getting fried after maybe a year of use (I'm guessing it was the fuses each time?). With the linked one, I've had no issues after over roughly 3 years. Even better is that the batteries last for ages in them. Another issue I had with other products is that they weren't waterproof so if they got wet in the shower, they'd start to go rusty, including the batteries. The linked one can be used under a flow of water, which is how I do it all the time. Potentially it could be used on the face (I've never tried). I use this one without the plastic guard so I get a very close trim, e.g. 1mm.

Maybe someone else will chime in on a product that can be used on the face.
