After trying lots of the premium brands, I always went back to the Philips ActionFit. For a the price, they can't be beat.

Then I found the Bose Sound Sports.

Great sound, easy to get in your ear, they stay in, and are comfortable. Plus, you can get them without a microphone if you're one of those rare people who's important enough, but not so important, that you can get away without taking a phone call during your workout.

I used CX 180s before this. Although they are good and sturdy they keep falling off really easy especially when running. The Phillips pair are cheaper and are made specifically for sports. As for the sound quality I found no major difference. If you can live with the color combination these may be a better fit than CX180s for you.

I like these Philips earbuds.

Budget - <$50

Source - Laptop or iPhone4

Requirements for Isolation - Not required

Preferred Type of Headphone - Preferably an earbud or maybe an IEM

Preferred tonal balance - Nice mid and high range

Past headphones - Generic iem/apple earbud

Preferred Music - Mainly Jazzhop such as
Blazo

I've had multiple experiences with several IEMs and the generic apple earbud, however none of them seems to fit my ear. They always end up falling out of my ears, thus I'd like to purchase a snug earbud unless there is an IEM that will guarantee a snug fit.

Been looking at the Philips SHQ1200/28

Thanks!

get these philips earphones . Sennheiser are too sensitive and fail if you use them for exercise. Too much jhanjhat with replacing them.

In addition to the Yurbuds everyone else has mentioned, the Philips ActionFit earbuds work great as well. Same principal as the Yurbuds, but they've lasted longer for me.

I don't know what your budget is, OP, but here is my choice. I like them because they stay in my ears (I sweat. A lot.) and they're very cheap.

Sometimes on sale on amazon for $11. I've seen them at RadioShack for $20. It could have been this pair though:

The second pair is the same as the first with volume control, play/pause/answer button, and a mic

I'm not an audiophile by any means, but for the money, these have been my favorite "cheap" buds. They are marketed as "fitness" buds so they lock in nice and are water resistant. I lose them or run them through the washer/dryer about once every 6 months and I go back and get them again for the fit and sound. $20ish on Amazon and can be found at a Radio Shack near you.
