Here are some that I've tried from Amazon that seemed decent:

(32g serving, 30g is whey protein isolate):

If you're willing to try out a blend (micellar casein, hydrolyzed whey and whey protein isolate... 30g serving, 27g protein):

They averaged about $1 per serving when I last purchased them.

Warning note: That second link is for the unflavored version.

I have to ask one question when I'm looking at brands and that's 'is it lactose free?'

Being lactose intolerant limits my options, makes protein more expensive, and even still gives me the bubble guts sometimes. Lately I've been using this blend by Muscle Feast. I used to care about flavor and taste. These days though I try to avoid all the filler and buy unflavored. Call me gross but 3-5 swallows isn't that bad.

> No stimulants!? I love my ECA. But if I can live without it, I will definitely do so.

Honestly, I drink coffee occasionally because I like coffee, but it has nothing to do with ZC or training.

> Any other supplements at all?

Ish. Personally, in addition to ZC, I also do a 23/1 Intermittent Fast (i.e. basically try to get all my calories in one meal). Because my main meal is after work, and I prefer to train at around 5 AM, I supplement with some BCAA's preworkout and a protein blend postworkout. I'm still very carb conscious though, so both are ZC (or about as friendly as I could find).

  • BCAA - 10g preworkout
  • Protein - 1 scoop postworkout

Beyond that, I don't worry too much about supplements.

    > Have you had a physical checkup to see how your blood work looks?

Not recently, no. Last time I went in, everything was normal (but that was during keto without training).
