Prohibition Bakery It's a beautiful cookbook and very well organized! From what I've seen through the book the instructions are simple to follow. Each Chapter is separated by the type of alcohol. Best part of all is that each cupcake has a picture. I always get a bit annoyed when a majority of a cookbook doesn't have pictures. I'm not sure exactly which one I want to do first. I have a feeling I might end up doing the Seelbach Cupcake, it has a Sparkling Wine Jelly and Bourbon w/ peychaud bitters frosting. Or a white sangria cupcake. Not sure yet! So many to choose from! My only drawback was the using shortening for frosting recipes. For me shortening frosting tastes a bit off to me? The book does recommend to use high ratio shortening instead of regular shortening, so we'll see how that goes. If you want a specific recipe just to try out, feel free to message me. I have no problem writing out one for you to give a shot. :)

I will definitely have a look at your cookbook recommendation! I've never come across it. That peanut butter, date and almond chocolate cup sounds so good. Does sound like the perfect recipe to get back into the swing of baking.

I always have found baking to be very therapeutic. I get lost in measuring out all my ingredients and during the baking process. I end up so tired afterwards, but it's a 'I feel accomplished' kind of tired.
