>I know that, I grew up watching Carl Sagan. I asked this question to see if women lean more towards science or superstition.
That makes so much more sense! I thought maybe you meant to say astronomy after reading your text comment below your post.
It's definitely science for me. I like the history of astrology. The ancient Egyptians (Ptolemy) believed in star signs which led to him making some pretty cool star maps. You should read Ptolemy's Almagest. I read it and it was very interesting to see how the ancient people thought about the night's sky. Super cool history of science book! I think you would really like it a lot.
> I blows my mind that galaxies dance around each other and sometimes merge together without a single star colliding!
Yes! Galactic cannibalism is one of my favorite astro topics (which is why I did research in it). I also worked a bit in modeling galactic evolution which is also very neat. I thought I wanted to be an astrophysicist at one point, but went into geophysics instead (I'm a grad student right now). And yes feel free to message me anytime. I don't know if I will know the answer, but I can ask someone who will :) I know a lot of people in the field because of my previous research.
