Red Chapters: Turning Points in the History of Communism
The starting point for this idea is simply observing that it has happened not just once in Russia but every time, everywhere socialists gained national control sufficient to implement a government of their choosing like Burkina Faso, Chile, China, Cuba, Germany, Italy, Rhodesia, Venezuela, Vietnam, Yugoslavia and many other nations. If you want to demonstrate this is flawed please point out exceptions.
Everywhere it didn't happen they were defeated not by others on the left but by opponents on the right. Maybe Evo Morales in Bolivia is an exception? Maybe not quite a dictator yet but a corrupt regime and probably in office for life.
So far looks nearly 100% accurate so a good argument against any form of socialism. As for why I think the philosophy behind collectivist movements justifies and implementation of their plans eventually requires such concentration of power that it's irresistibly corrupting for party officials.
