I totally agree, and is it terrible that this made me tear up a bit even though I pictured you as that guy in the reptar costume?

But in all seriousness I really think there should be more people like you. I will spank and scold my children when they're misbehaving, but a pat on the butt is much different than a slap to the face or hitting anyone hard enough to leave marks. People act like it's this thin line that parents need to make sure they don't cross but if someone can't recognize the difference between spanking and hitting they are a moron.

I really really am glad that there are others out there that are willing to step up if they see a kid abused though. I read A Child Called It when I was in Jr high and was amazed that the nurse and teachers knew what was going on but it took so much for anything to be done. I don't want to sound terrible but I think that part of the reason why so many kids needed to be treated like me, and sadly worse, is so that everyone could get their fucking act together and learn that it's not normal and they need to step in. It shouldn't have taken that, people should have already realized that, but sadly that's what it took.
