(Not entering) What a fun contest! I've never used an electric kettle, but I have a water boiler, which I think is pretty much the same thing? It's not this exact one, but it's very similar. You put water in it, it boils the water, then it keeps the water at the temperature that you tell it to! My husband wanted one, and I kept saying we really didn't need it, then we saw it 75% off, so I said ok! He never uses it, but I do lol.

Looks like the Chinese knockoff of a Cuisinart Kettle, based on the identical similar items. Could work. I'd honestly spend more for a Bonavita or the genuine article.

An alternative is this Rosewill water heater. It's also Chinese, but it's Newegg's brand.
