Put your hdd back in your laptop. Set your bios settings to the way they were. Boot your laptop from the hdd. Buy a cheap hdd enclosure: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01N6P1VPH/
Put your ssd in the enclosure. Use this guide to migrate your windows install to the ssd: https://www.howtogeek.com/97242/how-to-migrate-windows-7-to-a-solid-state-drive/

I have used that software to migrate several laptops from hdds to ssds, it works well.

Optional: once done, move the hdd into the enclosure and you now have a 1tb portable drive.

then buy https://www.amazon.com/Salcar-Drive-Enclosure-External-Support/dp/B01N6P1VPH/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1517868313&sr=1-1&keywords=ssd+mounting+usb and plug it into your xbox and format it... then transfer the game from whatever you have it saved on now to the SSD once its formatted....
