Nah, its actually a pop socket. and i use the pop socket car mount.
I used to use a magnet mount on my iphone 7 but now that i use wireless charging on the X, the metal plate wont allow that. Wireless charging works with the pop socket!
But if your looking for a good magnetic/dash mount -- i previously used the scoshe without any issues. Holds on strong to the dash. SCOSCHE Magic Magnetic Mount Dash
