I used to exclusively buy CX300II in ear headphones until I realised I'd gone through about six pairs in two years because one side always dies very quickly and I never think about warranty stuff for things under £50 so never kept the receipt.

I got these.

Had them for six months now. They are very very good for the price.

Budget - €100 max

Source - phone, ipod, laptop. Will be used for music, podcasts, netflix

Isolation? - doesn't matter

Use in public? Sometimes, mainly for home use though

Type - IEM

Tonal balance - overall balanced, not bass heavy

Past headphones - Sennheiser CX160 using for the past 4 years but one side is broken so need replaced. I liked the sound from them.
Sol republic tracks v8 I am currently using these but find them slightly bass heavy for universal use.

Type of music - mainly along the lines of indie folk, rock

Location - Ireland

I was thinking of these or these but not sure if they're more on the bass side.

The problem with earbuds these days is, that the cheaper ones are made very very very poorly. If you have a chance to get your money back i would do so. I wonder sometimes how they manage to get these through quality control.
