14 Bit Lossless Compressed Raw + Jpeg Fine can be seen at
https://youtu.be/Sbqx2Xi3TYw?t=70 The buffer fills around 34 shots.

14 Bit Uncompressed Raw + Jpeg Fine also filled the buffer around 34 shots.

My SD card was an extreme bottleneck for that combo.

For the Raw + Jpeg test portion, the Raws were sent to XQD card and the Jpegs to the SD card as you inquired.

My XQD writes at 400MB/s and the SD writes at 90MB/s.

IF you really wanted to shoot the Raw + Jpeg combo as fast as possible, you would need an extremely fast SD card.

For example: Sony Tough 64 GB SD card, with 299MB/s write speed

These tend to be around 100$ for one. If your only using it to store Jpeg as a file redundancy it is a little over kill in my opinion though. Very few people will be hammering down on the shutter for more then 4-6 seconds.

With a QXD and the SD linked just prior, I'm sure you could get around 100 frames (10 seconds) in one burst shooting Raw (XQD) + Jpeg (SD) but that SD will still bottleneck you.

If your going to use your SD card though as Raw file overflow to take over when the main card is full, it could work well for that. But you are still not going to get the same 200 shot buffer speed, especially on uncompressed raw. At this point 64GB is almost a small amount of storage and you would want a 128GB card as you can fill 64GB rather easily when shooting action/sports on location.

Food for thought on file sizes.
Compressed Lossless Raw files are around 23MB
Uncompressed Raw files are around 50MB.
Jpeg Fine files are around 4-8MB.

The real kicker though is when you look up the price of those really fast SD cards with 299MB/s write speed and 128GB. $240!

Its actually cheaper to just buy a second XQD 400MB/s write speed card of the same GB storage at $190. XQD is also a much stronger media as well.

In the long run though, I would always suggest on a second XQD card over spending so much on a SD card. SD's are always going to be slower and more expensive when buying higher end versions.

But it comes down to personal preference and how worried you are about losing your files due to a failed card.

It would be far to easy to spend 600$ on just two XQD and two SDs. Unless your a 100% pro on paid shooting, most of use would settle for only 1 XQD and a couple decent SD cards to use for overflow files once the main card is filled.

I apologize for the ramblings, and I thank you for enjoy the video.
