While this is good, I personally prefer the value of getting complete sets of any anime, film and/or television series for my collection. If you only own a DVD player, then obtaining Star Ocean EX one volume at a time would make more sense (on Amazon, I'm seeing that the complete DVD series in used condition starts at $128.95).
However, if you have a Blu-Ray/DVD player, Amazon currently has the entire series on Blu-Ray disc available for $23.89 brand new.
