Stately Pursuites by Katie Fforde It's set in England and has the chick helping renovate and bring life back into an old manner house.

Julie James writes a lot of contemporary series that have a legal leaning to them, but she actually was a lawyer and so the details are better than in a lot of other legal contemporaries.

Maya Banks is good if you are wanting more smutty books that are actually well written and not the drivel that 50 Shades was.

Nora Roberts Gallaghers triology set in Ireland was a classic Nora but was a fun quick read in the way she does so well.
