Have you guys tried any "That's not my..." books?
We have a bunch of them, and my 17 month old is really into them. They have a lot of stuff to appeal to the toddler set - interesting textures, contrast in the pictures, simple but interesting designs, repition in the words/pacing, they are short (for limited attention spans) etc. And there are a BILLION of them.
If she likes them, maybe make them just a you-and-her thing. They can be something special the two of you do together. Dad can do other books. Might help, maybe?
