Not familiar with Temptu but browsing a little indicates that it's a gravity-feed dual-action with a 0.35 needle. No reason it wouldn't work just fine for any minipainting application.
Frankly I've wondered if maybe some make-up or nail art brushes might not be perfect for detail work because they often have really small or even completely recessed cups which means there's nothing obscuring your view. Something along these lines perhaps?
