I have exclusively breastfed my twins since day one, and it's been six months. They're growing well.
I will say that it's stupidly time consuming, especially in the beginning. If I were pumping, I couldn't do it: my body just doesn't respond to pumps (same issue with my singleton). Fortunately that's not an issue since I stay at home with them for now. You also will want to do everything you can to boost production and not skimp on calories.
