How about some of the other Orients like the Esteem or Bambino?

Tissot also would be a good brand to look at in that price range. Example

You can't go wrong with a Tissot, I particularly like the automatic III and the symmetry of the couturier. What's your budget? For less than 1k you can get an automatic chrono. Personally, I would save for that one.

Check Mido too, models like the baroncelli, the all dial or the commander are attractive and well made.

If you are willing to go up to $500 then I'd recommend going for a cheaper Hamilton watch or Tissot, anything with a Swiss ETA movement. The Seiko and Miyota are cheaper movements, if you can take the step up to a swiss movement it's noticeably smoother.

$335 Tissot

$470 Tissot w/ Front Peephole

$495 Hamilton

you might also find it cheaper on other places on the internet like jomashop, i'm just linking amazon as most have amazon accounts. Honestly there are ton's of different looks and styles. Just search "tissot mens watch automatic" or "hamiltons mens watch automatic" in amazon
