A tip for the future, next time consider getting a space black stainless with sapphire crystal which doesn't need a screen protector. I struggled with bumpers and screen protectors for two years on a series 2 and eventually gave up and took the minor scratches. Got a series 4 SBSS and it takes a licking' but 0 damage to the crystal. Not even a micro scratch.
Of course the damn thing cost so much I couldn't justify upgrading to a series 5, so go figure.Not an answer you were looking for, just a PSA for people sick of protecting the watch.
On my aluminum series 2 I had the best luck using a cheap snap on bumper. I got one that looked a bit like black stainless steel. Eventually it'll hook on something, pop off, and get lost but they're under $10 so you just get another. I think they look OK too.Kind of like one of these, but any snap on bumper to your aesthetic liking is fine: https://www.amazon.com/top4cus-Environmental-Lightweight-Electroplated-Protective/dp/B07TYX6ST1/I found these bumpers kept everything from hitting the screen so you don't need a screen protector. Besides, the most damage to my crystal happened around the edges, not the face.
