I thought I would chime in here because I have been dealing with your similar issue. I'm 28/f, and have had persistent hormonal acne creep up in the last few years. The bumps seemed to start innocently on my chin, then creeped up all over my cheeks. I seemed to have tried everything with no luck.

NOTE: I haven't been on any form of hormonal birth control or any other medication, so I wouldn't be aware if this would help or hurt.

But, spearmint tea has seriously done wonders! For the last month and a half, I have consistently drank between 2-3 cups a day. No other change in routine/diet. Within 2 weeks I noticed a change. My boyfriend has even told me how significant the improvement is.

It is a cheap alternative, which seems to have few side effects (if any). If you do go ahead and try the tea solution, make sure you get tea that doesn't include any other teas mixed in.

The plus side is that you can also grow your own spearmint and have a ready supply.

Best of luck! I wish I took before and after pictures!

I have been using the bags above, as well as leaves I pull from my own garden. Both seem to work equally well!

If you browse the tea aisle long enough you can find several mint-only options, some purely one type of mint and some a mint blend.

I have heard peppermint tea has benefits for hair and skin, but I didn't hear that here. Twinings Pure Peppermint Herbal Tea, 1.41 Ounce Box, 20 Count https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009L6Q2YW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_M51XAb8C4Y31R

Either way- get a decently flavor-less sweetener and it tastes like a candy cane. I can drink it without sweetener if it's weak, though.
