Unfortunatly the ST19 chronographs seagull sells to 3rd party manufacturers tend to have some reliability issues.
the SNDA65 is another great option but its also 42mm so you might find it small

the swiss army infantry automatic at 44mm might be nice if you want a automatic watch

Remember that you can always make a watch look bigger using a bund or gunny style strap.
I have seen have multiple watches with a 7750 for under $500, sometimes it is only a temporary price drop.
