Totally convenient. Jokes aside, if you are interested in building your own (in relevancy to the DIY factor to this particular sub-reddit), may I point you towards /r/DIY? Also, depending on the materials you want, here is a Glass & Steel L-shaped Desk, and another if you are more into the Traditional look.
If you do look into building your own however, look into some really cool materials such as
Mess around with different stains/paints! And best of luck!
If glass is your thing this is even cheaper: http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00166HC9E
I've been using this exact model for over a year.
I have this desk which has worked pretty well for me for the better part of the last three or four years. I have three monitors and a set of speakers on mine, so it should be able to fit two monitors pretty easily with room for your other stuff.
Dude
I have a desk very similar to this and I love it. The clear glass one is cheaper right now though.
Edit: If you're going to place your monitors directly on your desk I would suggest getting something like this to decouple them from your desk.
Don't buy this
I've had this for around 3 years, nice sturdy glass, very good looking. It has enough space for my lg34um95 and a 24" monitor with thick bezels while still having the side free to do whatever over there.

Cons
I am pretty sure it is this one. I'm going to be getting the cheaper Silver one soon. I like a desk with a good amount of room.
EDIT: Well shit. The silver one jumped up in price.
actually looking at it again, its not the same desk but really similar.
desk
I did not, it's this one
I got this desk last year and am currently using it:

I generally like it; it's solid, wasn't too tricky to assemble, and fits well in a corner. My only gripe is that I am not able to install a triple-monitor mount that grips the desk, but honestly that's an issue with glass-topped desks in general, not just this model. All in all, I am pretty happy with this desk.
Other than that being the black version, it looks identical to mine.
Here's the one I bought: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00166HC9E/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Go to a local staples/walmart and try some out to get a feel for your preferences. There are things to consider like style, do you want something that goes in a corner like this http://www.amazon.com/Walker-Edison-3-Piece-Contemporary-Glass/dp/B00166HC9E/ref=lh_ni_t or is space an issue so something like this might be better http://www.amazon.com/South-Shore-Axess-Collection-Black/dp/B003FGWY1O. Right now I have something like this http://www.amazon.com/Target-Marketing-Systems-Berkeley-Computer/dp/B00200KD5U and il be upgrading to something like the first desk I posted, the under desk keyboard thing really sucks for gaming for me. hope this helps
Looks like the one I got from Amazon, except I got the multi version

It depends on how many monitors you have and their sizes, but if it's remotely close to my set up, I have a corner desk that comfortably fits a 27" curved monitor, a 23" monitor, a Wii U, PS4, and an Xbox One.

This is the one I have and it's currently on sale on amazon for like 60% off. It also comes with a little stand to put your tower on if you're in a carpeted rooms for airflow. The tempered glass is also nice and easy to clean/dust.
I can't really help with the mattress, but i have this desk in my tiny bedroom. I use the short section for my computer, and the long section has a 32" tv on it, and all my makeup and junk on the corner section.
I put it together by myself. It came with an Allen wrench, but I used an electric screwdriver with the attachment and it made things go a lot faster. It was super easy, but the glass pieces were surprisingly heavy. It took me maybe an hour, including unpacking all the pieces.
I think they make this desk in different finishes and surfaces too if you're not keen on the glass. But it looks classy as fuck, is super sturdy, and I would highly recommend it.
EDIT: the box it came in was maybe a bit larger than a crib mattress
Here's this desk I ordered it earlier on sale for $99 I haven't built it yet but I've seen some videos on youtube and i like it's look and space. Here http://www.amazon.com/Walker-Edison-3-Piece-Contemporary-Silver/dp/B00166HC9E
