Getting the right amount of estrogen and the proper ratio of progesterone is a challenge. However, I believe I was estrogen dominant most of my life (google it) and that caused the endo in the first place.
I tried the Wiley protocol after the shutdown and wanted to believe the ups and downs of the cycle were good for me. My current doc disagreed and said I would do better on a monocycle—that is, a little estrogen and progesterone daily. So instead of highs and lows I am more steady —which suits me. On this journey, I’ve also cleaned up my diet. A good book at the time clued me into the fact that - hey your body is trying to tell you something.
Everyone is different and no the surgery was physically Ok. Laparoscopy is pretty amazing for this sort thing; I really didn’t hurt and was glad to get “freed up” after so many years of pelvic pain. Here’s another book I found along the way. All best in your decision. No one should have to live in pain.
