Straight out of surgery my bust was still 39”, and the medium was perfect. I wore those for... 5-6 days before they were too big, and I ordered another set in a small. I’m currently 36-37” and the small is tight but not super tight. I can adjust the fit by adding or removing padding.
Don’t err on the side of too big like you’re used to. The bra is supposed to compress, and you’ll LOVE how the compression feels. The second the bra was too loose I was so uncomfortable.
