On my way back from work stopped and saw these.
Sorry I know this sub hates Microcenter location specific deals, but I wanted to help my fellow Bostonians out as I wish I hadn't spent 720+ already on a new one

Edit: one open box in Minneapolis too.
Edit2: One available from amazon warehouse $660
Because when you cherry pick the most expensive 1080ti you can find of course there won't be much price difference, or you could buy this one
https://www.amazon.com/ZOTAC-GeForce-352-bit-Graphics-ZT-P10810D-10P/dp/B06XXVVQYH/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1537371018&sr=8-6&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=1080ti&dpPl=1&dpID=510qP1bgEBL&ref=plSrch
And it's $160 cheaper than a 2080.
I mean, you must not be looking very hard:

You can get similar deals at Micro Center. Used 1080tis can regularly be had under $500 on eBay, like the EVGA SC Black one I just got for 490. Prices are still kinda inflated, but not that much anymore.
This was the listing I got at $740 sold by Amazon.

I subscribed to alerts for the 1080 Ti on nowinstock.net, I ordered it immediately when I saw the price, it was sold out within a minute.
Maybe you could save $60 and get the 1080ti Zotac AMP! edition instead of the strix: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XXVVQYH/ref=twister_B06Y6KBKQF?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Does anyone know how this card (1556/1670 MHz) would compare to the Zotac AMP (1569/1683 MHz) or the Zotac AMP Extreme (1645/1759 MHz)? Does the increased clock speed make much of a difference?
The RAM should be compatible, just that it might not run at the 3200mhz rated speed. You should be able to get 2933 or 3066 without too much issue.
That GTX 1080 is WAY too expensive, ($80 more than a 1080 Ti!!!!). Here's an EVGA SC2 1080 Ti in stock at Amazon for $729.

There are a whole range of others also still in stock for cheaper than your 1080:

It's suppose to be this one

The PSU looks good to me, but the GPU is too pricey.

Here's one new for $800
Take that with a grain of salt, but expect a ~25% difference between the 1070 and the 1080, and about the same jumping up from a 1080 to a 1080ti.
That card has a blower stile cooler, which can get pretty hot and really loud. Again, just 30€ more and you can get a way better model, at least as far as cooling is concerned. It's not a top model, but almost all cards can get up to the 2 GHz barrier so it doesn't really matter.
I'm looking at a new 1080ti as the used one I got from eBay a couple weeks ago turned out to be shit. The two on Amazon that look interesting are the Aorus one at $760 and the Zotac one at $680. With such a price difference is the quieter, cooler Gigabyte one still a better purchase?
Do you think the zotac 1080 ti amp edition would be okay? It's one of the cheaper 1080 ti's i can find (on amazon), and certain circumstances in my life rn make amazon my only choice to purchase parts from. https://www.amazon.ca/GeForce-GDDR5X-352-bit-Graphics-ZT-P10810D-10P/dp/B06XXVVQYH/ref=pd_sim_147_3?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B06XXVVQYH&pd_rd_r=c7548164-d8e3-11e8-ab2d-810914121f6a&pd_rd_w=t5XI2&pd_rd_wg=1hEWv&pf_rd_i=desktop-dp-sims&pf_rd_m=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB&pf_rd_p=f2db799a-cb6a-4ff5-b84b-b317891b94a8&pf_rd_r=J5YE5JRPZM68A4KGFMDS&pf_rd_s=desktop-dp-sims&pf_rd_t=40701&psc=1&refRID=J5YE5JRPZM68A4KGFMDS
There's no reason to limit yourself to just one site. This should be obvious by using pcpartpicker. Sometimes Amazon has much better prices than Newegg, like this Zotac 1080 ti that is $40 more on Newegg.
And of course there are a number of other sites, like B&H and Jet. It's fairly common for at least one of these sites to have a better price than Newegg.
