There are a few options but I haven't tried any. I want to though as I want to make a Fallout diarama piece using a bunch of minis from Wasteland Warfare. But like most wargames, they've super overpriced their minis and I need a ton of ghouls. So it's scan some of the ghouls I bought and copy them or do silicon molds and resin to make copies.
Unless you're printing with a photon or similar resin printer though, you probably won't get manufacturer quality.
There are some cheaper options for scanning now from the look of it.

And there's supposedly a smartphone app that will take in pictures to build a 3d model. I really wanna try that.

But for the best quality reproductions you're best bet is still a Smooth-on mold and casting with resin.

Never heard of it, but it looks interesting. It's currently selling for $1100 on Amazon, which (I believe) makes this the least expensive turntable based structured light scanner available.

I found this scan of a barcode reader on Sketchfab. It's mostly decent but there's some "bleeding" at the front where I'm assuming a clear lens would be and some glitches at the top-rear where it looks like LED lights are located. The trigger looks a little bumpy but I can't tell if it's a glitch or if it's designed that way. The mesh looks mostly clean.

I'd consider it for sure if I wanted to scan small objects. An 8x8x8 inch cube is too small for my needs. I'd without a doubt pick this over the similar but much more expensive NextEngine 3D scanner and their overpriced software upgrades.
The long list but you list even a toy Makerbot Digitizer
I ask about real competitors but not about fake :-/
Do you have real experience with Einscan-SP $ 2500? Can you please show a few scans made by you.
Something like this is what i was thinking:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00O2O5SS4/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B00O2O5SS4&linkCode=as2&tag=3dpricom-20&linkId=UEA3ZTI4YOUT6UKD
There is one on Thingiverse to 3D print, although it is a large object that is probably difficult to 3D print by itself. The checkerboard pattern can just be printed out on a regular printer.
The Makerbot Digitizer was supposed to be Bre Pettis' swan song for selling out Makerbot, showing how the money went to research. It was pretty much a total piece of crap. It is still sold on Amazon, just scroll down and read the reviews.
