This is why my running playlist occasionally includes recordings of groups running to cadence (see username). It's also tons of action movie/game/trailer music. Makes it so much more enjoyable.
I use music to get in the zone.
Go to Jog.FM and create a playlist to your musical preference. Export that playlist to Spotify on your phone/device. Here's my eclectic 175ish playlist. This one is a little lower BPM on average.
Start with 160 bpm and work your way up! Army Cadence is about 160-170 and is easy to zone out to. When I need slow and long, the Airborne Shuffle will get you there.
