I do enjoy surprises and I totally understand if I didn't follow the rules. I honestly was going to suggest a NSFW item, but some people frown on such. Here is the story about the reason behind wanting these items. I am a goat fanatic and this goat item really looks to elegant to even be in my house and its a trinket box! I probably would keep little odds and ends in it. When my boyfriend whom is long distance came to visit I was silly enough to keep receipts and things from where we were and even a used up Subway card.. This goat would be a perfect house for those.

The pencil/charcoal set is because I don't have any regular pencils in this house. They are all mechanical, and this little set is a perfect restart to sketch and become re-interested in drawing more again. While I do use mechanical pencils for drawing, I really love the way a regular pencil feel drawing to. I especially love charcoal.

We don't know which country you or she is from, but it might be nice to get hers something small from her country (or something from your country that's super distinct if she's very excited about living there).

For instance, if she is from Germany, you could get her some Hanuta -- I know when I moved away from home, it was very comforting to get reminders from there.

Or if she's from Belgium, Stroopwafels might be nice to go with tea! Just something small that represents her home.

As for relaxation items (which seems to me to be one of your best options seeing as your ultimate goal is to help her relax, right?), I have a few:

Gong for her desk at work?

A zen "Desktop Garden?"

A Buddha Board for work?

A little desktop fountain?

A diffuser for at home (SUPER relaxing, but you'd also need essential oils)?

Or even a necklace diffuser?

Try coddled eggs. You have to buy a special container to cook it in, but it's pretty awesome. Here you go.

With these guys, I like to keep the yolk runny, and the whites firm, like a soft-boiled egg. You also get to add any adjuncts to the coddler like garlic, pepper, salt (necessary), and butter (maker sure to butter the inside for easy clean up). Start with your favorite seasonings and then go crazy. Experiment with the texture!

In my youth i got sick, and ate nothing but eggs for a week (because that was all I could keep down). After that, I couldn't even think of eggs without getting sick to my stomach. Then one day, I visited my grandma who made me coddled eggs, and out of my love for her I didn't turn them down. I finished that dish so fast I surprised myself by accepting her offer of seconds, thirds, forths, and then the same thing for breakfast the next day.

Hopefully you keep an open mind and enjoy. Its an old-fashioned dish, but one close to my heart.

Mr. Terrific is one of my favorites, and I was pretty disappointed that his solo series was cancelled. I really like what he stands for, and his style of combat (using his T-spheres) is unique from other heroes. I know there are tons of superheroes who are physicists, inventors, robotic and nuclear engineers, and every other shade of genius, but I like how Mr. Terrific, beyond having 14 PhDs, is kind of an everyman in how he sees situations and develops his views. He has a great story arc, and you've gotta love the moniker "the third smartest man on Earth".

I think that it looks a little bland the way it is currently. If you are going for metal decor like the orbs, I would suggest silver to match that curtain rod. Since you do have quite large shelves, you can put quite a few things without it looking cluttered. I noticed that you are using a crystal as a bookend, but I believe it would look better if you neatly stacked the books (bind facing outwards) and display the crystal away from the books.

On a serious note though, buy some nice Krishna (Lord Vishnu) or Lord Ganesha idol from Amazon or a local Indian store. I am pretty sure it will be well appreciated since most Gujaratis worship Krishna and Ganesha is considered the God who helps one overcome obstacles/challenges. This will be a thoughtful gift for him. (Assumption: Your friend is Hindu and religious).

Now this is my kind of contest! I can't possibly choose between my two favourite cups, So I'll talk a little about both of them. Here are my beauties!

The first one, the slytherin mug, I got from a very very good friend for my birthday. It's super pretty and I was so pumped when I got it! Plus, representin.

The second one is is my other favourite because it's BEAUTIFUL and it's old as shit. Seriously, it's the prettiest thing. It like, shimmers in the light and everything. My iPhone cannot possibly capture such beauty. It belonged to my grandmother, who apparently got it from her grandmother. I have no idea if anyone owned it before that. My awesome gramma gave it to me because she finds my obsession with collecting tea cups adorable. I love her. She's always giving me tea cups, but this one is my favourite:)

This is the thing on amazon that I want most in the world. Can't justify the price though, not at the moment!

Presently my favourite kind of tea is English Breakfast. Also, Of all the silly nonsense, this is the stupidest tea party I've ever been to in all my life.

To me, it all began with my desire to own a Godzilla enemy monster. I heard about the Monsterarts brand and found out they made awesome Godzilla toys. Since I had a job and I felt I deserved to reward myself, I bought Monsterarts Destroyah!

Suddenly, my love for toys became revitalized. One monster ended up into a shelf like this :D
