So, the DISCatcher Pro 28 is the current front-runner. I'm going to avoid the Sport as I have found some reviews / pictures of the chains rusting, so I think something funny is going on there link, but I know the Pro28 will withstand most anything for years.

This basket will do everything you need it to do. Same basket as the discmania one with a different paintjob. Same as the hive basket as well. $20 cheaper than when i bought it as well.

I've had the Discraft Chainstar Lite for about a year now and I love it. I wrapped some pipe insulation around the center pole to make it a lot quieter.

DGA Mach Lite is the best collapsible basket, imho. It's not the cheapest, but its catching is the most similar to permanent baskets.
I also have an Innova DISCatcher Traveler and it's not good by comparison. Odd pentagon-shaped basket, fewer chains than DGA's, the chains don't slide at the top like DGA's do, and overall its materials just feel cheaper. (Probably because it is cheaper, but I'd still spring for the DGA if you want something that feels like a "real" basket.)
Edit - One downside to the DGA is the weight. Because so much metal is used it would not be comfortable to walk very far with. If you're hiking around with a basket I'd consider something lighter.
