That's bs. When I had really bad flair ups from candida infection my belt buckle would give me pimplyb rashes. The best thing you can do is buy this soap, Yes To Tomatoes Bar Soap Activated Charcoal and use it daily.

Other than that, I'm a guy, so this is easier for me to do, but I wear two pairs of underwear. One boxer brief and one boxer and it gives me extra padding that helps keep that belt buckle from being able to rub.

Another thing is if you are sexually active, be sure that you showed after sex as soon as is feasible, but at least use a warm washrag to wash that area.

The best piece of advice you can ever get about keeping that area from breaking out is DON'T TOUCH IT. Keep your fingers and hands away. My rashes have almost completely stopped since I finally stopped myself from constantly inspecting and touching and putting me hands anywhere near that area.

That yes to tomatoes brand also makes wipes that are hypoallergenic and they are fucking amazing for cleaning your face or any area that has a high likelihood of rash or infection. Yes To Tomatoes Charcoal Face Wipes for Clear Skin

Skin Type: Normal/Dry | Country/Climate I'm in: NYC | Top Skin Concern: Keeping skin hydrated, keeping pores small, getting rid of acne scars

Current Routine/Products I'm Using:

AM

Splash water on face or use face wash (was using Skinfood Egg White Pore Foam, and just recently switched to Etude House Wonder Pore).

Klairs Supple Preparation Toner

Klairs Vitamin C Drop Serum

Dr.Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass 30+ SPF

PM

Innisfree Olive Cleansing Tissue

Face wash - same as morning, was using Skinfood Pore Foam, now using Etude House Wonder Pore

Klairs toner (same as above)

Klairs Vitamin C drop (same as above)

Innisfree Wine Jelly Sleeping Pack

I specifically [want help with/am looking for a product to/am curious about trying]... Wondering if my routine can be critiqued! I want to work more on fading acne scars, so I think I need a stronger vitamin C serum than the Klairs one, if anyone has a recommendation. Also, if I use a stronger one, should I not use it in the morning because then I get sun exposure? Also definitely looking for a good exfoliator to use a couple times a week - I do not have one. I also really want to work on getting plump, dewy, glowing skin. My skin right now feels kinda blah. I've recently starting using this propolis sheet mask which is working great.

Some of the other suggestions are very good, and I'll throw mine in there - Cetaphil Gentle Cleansing Cloths. These aren't enough to cut through heavy makeup or dirt, but they're absolutely excellent for simply cleansing the surface of the skin of normal oil build-up from the day. I absolutely love these when I'm just at home with minimal skin products on and don't need a full washing. I just give my face a 1-minute buff/swipe with these and my face is nicely cleansed and mildly moisturized. Some other wipes can be a little harsh around the eyes/nose/mouth area, but I find these to be extremely gentle and non-irritating.

I was in the same place as you a few years ago, and I understand the aversion to constant cleanliness when one is deeply depressed. I eventually dragged myself out of it with a plethora of lifestyle changes, but damn do I understand how hard it can be. My thoughts are with you, and I wish you strength and the best of luck battling this difficult issue.

Foaming and sudsing cleansers are actually usually quite drying and can have a pH unsuitable for skin. Milk and cream cleansers are your best bet. I like Eucerin Dermatoclean and Avene Extremely Gentle Cleanser. Cerave Hydrating Cleanser is also decent and is more affordable. Milk and cream cleansers should be applied to dry skin with clean hands.

For what it's worth, I can't stand splashing water on my face either. It just gets everywhere and runs down my elbows onto the floor. Try soaking a nice fluffy microfibre cloth in warm water, wringing it out, and taking your cleanser off that way.

I get a fresh one out every morning, use it AM and PM, then put it in the wash basket. Make sure you don't wash them with fabric softener, as that clogs the fibres. I prefer using a white one so I can see that all my makeup's come off

I've started working out before going to the office, and am in a similar situation without a shower. Here's what's helped me.

  • Body wipes. I currently use these. One for the pits & ladybits, and one for everywhere else (arms, chest, neck, etc).
  • A good spray of gold bond, and fresh deodorant.
  • Dry shampoo - either in a spray or powder. Just make sure you give your hair a good ruffle afterward so you don't get powdery spots.
  • Headbands are a godsend! Especially with a ponytail.

    Good luck!

Hello all,

I was doing a full routine for several weeks straight and suddenly depression hit and I stopped... I plan on continuing and have also bought some new products to try (listed below).

My main issue however is that I can get a flushed look fairly easily. I have been told I need to get checked for Rosatia - I told my mother this and she told me to dab Soy Milk on my face with a cotton ball.

Skin Type: Combination/Oily | Country/Climate I'm in: South USA/Humid Subtropical | Top Skin Concern: Redness/Oiliness

  • Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel Toner
  • Cosrx Galactomyces 95 Whitening Power Essence
  • Vitamin C Serum w/ Hyaluronic Acid
  • L'oreal Dermo-Expertise Eye Defense eye cream
  • Skin Food Peach Cotton Emulsion

    PM

  • L'oreal Micellar Water (all skin types/waterproof)
  • Aveeno 60-second In-Shower Facial wash w/ konjac sponge (looking to change this)
  • Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel Toner
  • Cosrx Galactomyces 95 Whitening Power Essence
  • Vitamin C Serum w/ Hyaluronic Acid
  • L'oreal Dermo-Expertise Eye Defense eye cream
  • Mizon Snail Recovery Gel Cream

    New Items Purchased

  • Lemon Whitening Sleeping Pack

  • Fresh konjac sponges

  • Epielle Makup Remover Towelettes for when I'm feeling lazy

  • Skinfood Egg White Pore Foam cleanser

  • Etude House Beauty Shot Face Blur as primer

My question is this: Is the Soy Milk truly necessary/helpful? If I were to add it to my routine, at which step would I do this? Do any of the products in my routine take care of the issue enough that this would be repetitive? Are there any products with Soy Milk in them that would match my skin concerns?

Thank you sooooo so much for any help you may provide.

Hi! Thanks for hosting this!! I'm going to just talk to you like you're a friend because we're gossiping about my day :P

Hey GherkinJerkin! How are you?? Oh, that's awesome that you're doing well. Me? Oh god today has been so great so far! I actually woke up late but I still managed to leave the house at the same time that I usually do. I got to class and I'm just soooo hungry! So during break I go to Dunkin Donuts and get myself a chicken biscuit and some hash browns. I really shouldn't because I'm supposed to be starting a diet and workout regiment today sooooooo yeeeeaaaaaah. We took a test on hair braiding and extensions and I totally got a 100% on it. We finally started doing the manicure chapter so after lunch we'll actually get to practice on each other! You want a manicure? Girl I gotchuuuuu. What I want to accomplish this week? Well, I'm trying to convince my dad to let me get a belly button piercing and it's going alriiiiiight. Still have a lot of work to do on that front. You'll help me convince my dad?? Awww yuuussss you're the bestest friend ever. Three things that I'm going to do just for myself?

Weeeeellll

  1. Today I start my C25K regiment and I'm really excited about that!
  2. I'm planning to lose 20 pounds by October and I really need to keep myself motivated! I've always been really lazy about losing weight but no more!!
  3. I've gotten into the habit of putting on moisturizer and sunscreen everyday and I'm so happy about that! My skin has never looked better!!

Oh my gosh look at the time! I'm still in class! Girl, you're so distracting! You'll get me in trouble with my teacher! Oh one last thing? I've reeeeeaallyyyy been eyeing this makeup remover since I basically just scrub the heck out of my face to get rid of my makeup. I'll talk to you later!!

Cool mist humidifier will help him out like this one (it comes in a lot of colors and even in animal shapes...if that matters to you).

Nosefridas are awesome and work better than the bulbs since you can maintain a constant suck...yes with your mouth. But there is a filter!

Also it sounds gimmicky, but def check out Boogie Wipes. They are saline soaked wipes that make wiping the nose a little easier. They are so soft and gentle.

These are fantastic -- I carry a bunch in my purse at all times. Great for all grossness you may encounter....shopping cart handles, air travel, spawn barf, whatever.

I recommend shopping around a bit though (eBay, etc.) to find the best deal. They're typically sold in bags of 20. I like the peppermint scent the best!

The ones I used never had dots. They changed the original ones for sensitive skin to these but discontinued them. They are only available at Amazon Fresh or Amazon Prime pantry and I don’t feel like paying shipping on them when I have a prime membership (I can only get free shipping on Prime Pantry with a $35 purchase).

Can anyone give me tips or advice on my current routine?

Morning:

  • in the shower i use this cetaphil oil control cleanser

  • Then after shower I use Burt's Bees tomato toner (contains alcohol)

  • Then I use clean and clear oil free moisturizer

The problem is that I'm still getting a lot of oil on my skin throughout the day. More than I'd like.

I plan to replace the toner and moisturizer with the Thayers Rose Petal Toner and Sebamed Clear face care moisturizer, respectively. What do you all think about the cleanser though?

    Night:

  • Before bed I use Burt's bees cleansing towelettes (I have tried the grapefruit and the peach one which says exfoliating) and then i do toner/moisturizer before bed. Any thoughts on these, and which may be best? they have a few diff kinds

Also going to keep my pillow cases clean and swap them out when they get dirty.

Thoughts/tips/critiques would be appreciated. I am a guy in my mid 20s, if that helps any.

Also I feel like the black heads on my nose can get fairly prominent, any tips for taking care of them? I have some of the clay mask stuff but i tend to forget to use it.

I have super sensitive dry skin (I recently figured out that cetyl alcohol family is one key irritant and fragrance is another) here are the product that are in my regular routine:

Cleanser/peel - Missha Super Aqua Detoxifying Peeling Gel I use this 2-3 times a week to get rid of dry skin.

Toner - BENTON Snail Bee High Content Skin I notice that I absorb my essence and moisturizer better when using this beforehand. In the summer I simply use the Skin/toner and the essence and I am set, no need for moisturizer as it is moderately moisturizing ( in summer only).

Essence/Serum - BENTON Snail Bee High Content Essence

Moisturizer - BENTON Snail Bee High Content Steam Cream

Mask - My Beauty Diary Mask, Luffa I use these 2-3 times a week to help calm and plump my dry winter skin. it leaves my skin with a healthy glow.

I also supplement with a few american products:

For daily cleaning I use these wipes Olay Regenerist Micro-Exfoliating Wet Cleansing Cloths 2x a day: morning and evening (double cleansing and daily use of washes is too harsh for my skin)

u/AutomateAllTheThings · 3 pointsr/Hyperhidrosis

I have it at least as bad as you:

  • Pacifica makes wipes you can use to stay fresh between sweats. I find that they give me back my confidence.
  • I've begun wearing headbands and adopting an aesthetic that goes along with them. I helps keep sweat out of my eyes when I know that I'm going to do something that triggers it, and honestly gives a fashion excuse for the sweat which is nice.
  • A fan at my desk wherever I'm going helps me to have "stations" I can hop between during the day.
u/ariana-stan · 3 pointsr/ZeroWaste

Can’t help with everything here, but to remove makeup I use these wipes that take everything off with water! I bought mine at a local beauty store but these are pretty similar:

There are so many you can use from. I have tried ponds cleansing balm, that clogged my pores. I tried softymo from Amazon, that clogged my pores. I was super frustrated and started researching. I then found posts about grape seed oil. I ordered this one from amazon Handcraft Pure Grapeseed Oil -... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D9VTBK2?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share and wow must I say. My skin changed dramatically. Apparently my skin loved it. I also ordered these microfiber towels Sinland Microfiber Facial Cloths... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07H4J5RC5?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share since the double cleanse method requires a towel and warm water. It is all trial and error. Do not try avocado oil or coconut oil. Those clog your pores like crazy. I heard mineral settles with most people but it didn’t with me unfortunately. Good luck with everything!

If you could only bring one or two products to wash your face and combat acne on a road trip, what would you choose? I'm an active backpacker and I'll be roadtripping the entire month of August. I'll have very limited space (mostly backpacking, but I'll be back at my car every 3 or 4 days) so I can only pack a few things. This is partly a fun question (what would you bring?!) but also would love some recommendations on portable and water-less skincare products I can take on the road.

I have oily skin and moderate acne. So far I'm planning on bringing Burt's Bees face wipes for a quick wash but otherwise I'm not sure what else.

u/qistki · 1 pointr/SkincareAddiction

Yeah sure! I got mine from a Dollar Tree, and they were truly a dollar. Interestingly, they're listed on Amazon for a whopping $10. They claim to have retinol in them, which I'm not sure about, but they do a really good job of removing my makeup without issues! The Amazon link also has reviews from others so you can look through there to see if they're right for you. For $1, I'm not complaining.

EDIT: If you want, I can post a picture of the ingredients list! I can do this for both Cerave and Dollar Store wipes.

u/PollyNo9 · 8 pointsr/TheGirlSurvivalGuide

I know in the baby wipe aisle there are usually some saline wipes. The Target near me sells both "Water Wipes" and "Boogie Wipes".
