So I'll give some general skincare advice and some acne specific advice since many of the posters here are dealing with that. If the acne part isn't relevant, you can skip ahead.

Acne

Acne is caused by sebum (skin oil), the oil clogs pores and attracts bacteria, leading to inflammation, which causes pus formation and pimples. Tendency to develop acne is sometimes genetic, but you can still kill it.

Get the sebum under control first. Make sure you're washing your bedsheets and pillow cases regularly (at least once per week).

Wash you face twice daily with a gentle, non pope-clogging cleaner. You don't want to use harsh cleaner with fragrances because it makes inflammation worse. I used Cetaphil Daily when I had acne, it works great. Wash your face morning and night with the cleaner using your hands. Every few days or so, lightly use a washcloth to aid in using the cleaner. You want to exfoliate dead skin and gunk, but not inflame your skin. Do not use astringent products, EVER.

After washing your face, use Persa-Gel on your pimples. The stuff is no joke and it's been proven for decades.

General Skincare

For people that don't have acne or have it under control, you want exfoliating cleaner and moisturizer. I only use two products.

Body Merry Glycolic Acid Cleaner for the face and neck. I use it once per day about 4 times a week, but you might want to start out twice a week at first to build tolerance, it's a gentle acid. You want to scrub the product on gently with your hands. This shit will change your game, trust me.

For moisturizer, I use CeraVe Lotion. Rub a small amount onto your face and neck once per day morning or night after your face wash. If you'd rather use it at night or you don't need the sunscreen, I'd recommend getting the PM formulation at a drug store because it's super expensive on Amazon.

Nutrition

Not only are fruit and vegetables good for you and alleviate depressive feelings, but people that eat more fruits and veggies are objectively more attractive. The pigments from the veggies/fruits deposit in your skin and give you a glow that's similar, but more attractive than tanning. You don't have to go crazy, but try and implement sweet potatoes, berries, green leafy veggies and other produce into your diet. Ditch the soda period. Stay hydrated. Pick up a nice water bottle and use it like there's no tomorrow. Stay away from refined sugar and white bread as well, these things cause inflammation. Whole grain bread is your friend (and will also help you lose weight if needed).

Also you gotta control the heavy drinking. And if you smoke cigs, quit ASAP.

Hopefully this helps. I'm not a doctor but I have a science background and a degree in biological science from a well regarded school. Also I have a lot of Asian friends and a family who care about skincare. Good luck to you guys and keep me posted with any progress :)

AWWW you are such an absolute sweetheart!! Thank you. :D

Old face washes on feet sounds like a good way to use up the product. :)

I have eczema too so I know how hard it can be. :( I think the bandages help even if they just put a barrier between your hands and your face, haha.

I really appreciate you trusting me on eye creams. :D Here is an article you may be interested in reading.

And yes, I know, I'm a shameless Paula's Choice fangirl, and I'm almost embarrassed about it because I'm afraid people will think I'm a secret shill for the company or something haha. The reason is this: they are trustworthy, hand down. I'd say about 75% of my skincare knowledge has come from reading their articles, listening to their podcasts, and so on. They truly know what they're talking about. Their skincare and opinions are supported solely by research, they review (and often recommend) products from tons of other skincare and beauty lines, they don't test on animals, their prices are competitive...basically, everything you could want in a skincare company. The only other company that even comes close to being this trustworthy is Benton, a South Korean brand, and to be honest I haven't used them yet so...!

That said, I totally understand the desire to have other product recommendations! I'm assuming you mean from other companies, there are also other products in the Paula's Choice line I could recommend haha. >:)

I'll try to link as many products as I can on Amazon.de for you. :3

Cleanser: You could try OCM, an oil cleanser, and/or a foaming cleanser. You said you've read the sidebar, so I'll assume you know the difference between each.

Here is a thread to help choose an oil/s should you choose OCM.

Here is an oil cleanser that is recommended in the SCAUK sub. I'm guessing it might not be that hard to find there.

Foaming cleansers are a bit more difficult to recommend. A key thing to remember is that the ph should be around 5 to 6. CeraVe (Foaming/Hydrating) is a usual option, although it might be expensive to get since you're not in the US. I'm not sure if you have Boots over there, but Boots Simply Sensitive Foaming is good too. Last suggestion is Simple Wash Gel.

There are other types of cleansers, but I've not had experience with them, so maybe someone could chime in.

Moisturiser:

Nivea creme! I've heard that the German Nivea Creme is superior to the US Nivea creme, but I'm not completely sure. But this is definitely a no-fuss moisturiser, and IMO is a good starting point. Another no fuss moisturiser is the Oilatum Face Cream.

Sunscreen:

I suggest you go over to Asian Beauty for recommendations since Asian sunscreens are one of the best. (Esp Japanese ones!) But if you prefer something more local, La Roche Posay is a good choice too.

Exfoliation:

I think you should leave exfoliation until after you've found a good cleanser, moisturiser and sunscreen. I'll suggest both AHA and BHA.
Popular choices are Stridex (Again, US brand but can be ordered online, as far as I know, iHerb has the best deal) Paula's choice BHA and AHA gets a lot of love form this sub as well, although is a bit pricier. Avene Cleanance K is a combined AHA and BHA. Nipt+Fab Glycolic pads are also recommended in SCAUK.

Remember to use sunscreen all the time when using AHA as it increases your photo sensitivity.

Lastly, you asked about peels. Peels are a step up from the products I suggested under exfoliation. They're much stronger, and should only be done once a week. It's not easy to do, and things could go wrong very fast so do this at your own risk, but also know that there are trained professionals out there that can do this for you. Peels are usually a last resort if the chemical exfoliations aren't enough. I've also heard that they can help with scars, but not much.

Other weekly treatments include masks. Masks are fun, you could try home made ones (honeeeey!) or you could get some online. ATM I'm using QHMJM. The Aztec healing clay mask mixed with raw ACV is another popular choice. You can also head over to Asian Beauty for sheet masks recommendations.

Flew to LA to work during the week and stumbled into an AB store called Shibuyala! Decent sized store that even sold Hada Labo, Kikumasamune, lots of facial masks, Biore and Skin Aqua sunscreens. What caught me off guard was a vitamin vape pen.

I digress, all the products were in Japanese. But the staff was super informative. One of them had the same skin type as me and she briefly shared her skincare journey with me since I asked her a few questions. She recommended that I should keep my products at a minimal because I have combination skin, and told me about her “HG” toner and moisturizer she always goes back to after she tries on different products, especially ones her skin might not agree with.

I ended up buying both and a facial cleanser she recommended specifically for me. She also told me about how it’s hard for them to import products that have green tea in them overseas due to some sort of regulation. Didn’t find any specific sources on this comment, but I did look more into FDA regulations on cosmetic imports.

After using the products for a few days, my cheeks cleared up and I have an even skintone now, minus a hyper-pigmented blemish on my chin. I’m still working on my forehead. I’ve been over-hydrating and essentially layering too much for my face which caused some tiny red dots on my cheeks and some breakouts on my forehead. The products were good when I was repairing my moisture barrier, but because I never stopped using them, my skin became overwhelmed.

Skin type: Combination skin (oily forehead, dry cheeks and chin area), sensitive, acne prone

—AM/PM—

Rosette Cleansing Paste Acne Clear (blue one): This makes my face feel stripped/tight and I’m not a huge fan of the ingredients per cosdna. The Amazon description in English sounds awesome and it helps my face absorb my toner so well.

Freeplus Moist Care Lotion 1: I could only find Lotion 2 ingredients, which is similar but a bit stronger. The lady said I should start with 1 first, then transition to 2 later. Recommended using a cotton pad and making sure a small center of it is soaked, instead of patting because hands usually absorb the product. She used to use the pat method too, but realized a cotton pad was better.

Freeplus Moist Care Emulsion 1: Very light moisturizer and also has squalene! Apparently the combination of the two products is what makes them effective 100%. She told me to only use this as moisturizer, but that leaves my skin too dry so I need a second one.

CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion

Personally I had spent a long time using aveeno active naturals, my skin looked SO GOOD, but then upon seeing an esthetician and dermatologist and having them check out my skin with a special camera, they determined that regardless of the exfoliation and moisturizing I was doing, the stuff was drying my skin out so bad the top layer of skin on my face was pretty much all dead skin.

Now I personally use Andalou naturals it’s organic but not crazy expensive, and I use one of their cream cleansers in the morning and a typical cleanser from them at night, with the same moisturizer with SPF after both cleansings. My skin looks better than it has in a while.

I have rosacea skin and I finally managed to find a routine that have my skin looking good. Since I started using this, I saw redness and papules going down.

Going into the products:

- Bioderma Sensibio Micellar Water: for me, bioderma is the best when it comes to micellar waters. The sensibio is pretty good for sensitive skin.

- Hadalabo Gokujyun: bought it on a whim in Japan, but it has been very good for my skin.

- Benton Snail Bee High Content Essence: I bought it after reading a lot of good reviews in r/SkincareAddiction and r/rosacea and it has worked pretty well. Didn't get a bad reaction from it, and I like how it is a lightweight gel.

- Hadalabo sunscreen: I don't like it very much, when I finish this one I'll go back to La roche posay's dry touch.

- Saemmul Honey Lip scrub: while I find the texture a bit creepy, it seems to do its work.

- H&M Concious Lemon Lip Balm: smells great, and works very well with my dry lips. I use it as a lip mask at night and in the morning my lips look great.

- Skin, nails & hair: I take it for the hair, but it should help fight inflammation as well. I can't say that I saw a noticeable reaction on my skin (but my nails grow crazy fast when I take this).

- Sheet Mask: I use different masks, the next one I use will the the one in the photo, but I like the Lululun masks as well.

You may notice that there isn't a cleaner. The reason is that the bottle looked horrible, but I currently use this one:

https://www.amazon.com/Lutsine-Bactopur-Purifying-Cleansing-200Ml/dp/B0052EMSI6/ref=sr_1_1_s_it?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1526895306&sr=1-1&keywords=lutsine+bactopur&dpID=41fowcMyPAL&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch (here is not so expensive, it costs like 10€ a bottle when I buy it online).

Hellooo! I just got my 2nd amazon global order today!! I'm so happy.

If you're a make up wearer, a spray SPF might be useful, I got this in my order

An affordable rice brand/germ oil recommended by ratzilla

$3 sunscreen alcohol free! There's different versions but here's the basic (light grapefruit scent, dries matte but quite oily feeling as it goes on, very runny, a little white cast)

Here is a cream I have my eyes after, it has astaxanthin, a powderful anti oxidant that I really like using under my sunscreen (along with vit c). I haven't used it, I'm currently using a cream from sana with astaxanthin in and but it's becoming drying for me now we're in the winter here even in texas. The cream looks very nourishing if you translate the ingredients

minon amino moist emulsion I really love emulsions in my routine, I find they just plump up the skin and my skin holds onto it all day better rather than just light lotions. This emulsion is highly ranked in JP and is more affordable here than on amazon USA (but it is available for prime in usa)

ettusais lip essence it's soooo good. It's quite expensive though even at retail, but if you feel like treating your self... keep your eyes out for the collab versions, i think you can also find winnie the pooh ones right now on amazon global.

here is an minon amino moist trial kit that is quite affordable and has a nice array of items to try!

EDIT here is my wish list with random bits and bobs too! http://amzn.asia/7Muyfhw

u/Marshmellownightmare · 4 pointsr/pregnant

I had a badass skincare routine going before pregnancy that is totally not pregnancy friendly; I’m talking BHA/AHAs, special face washes, and rags, everything...

I got some pretty bad acne when I had to stop my routine, probably just because my skin was oily and I hadn’t looked into how to handle it while gestating just yet. But I’m getting MUCH better in the 2nd trimester, and now it’s just healing the scars left from the hell trimester. Here we go:

Face:
Garnier Clean+ Clarifying Cleansing Gel Sensitive Skin - Takes off my makeup easily. Mostly used in the shower because washing faces in sinks is brutal in the bad way.
Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water for Oily Skin - Takes off eye makeup easily if your having trouble with your thick black eyeliner smearing down your face because you “insist on doing your makeup like a ‘vam-per’” according to your parents.
MISSHA Time Revolution Clear Toner - Expensive as shit toner that I paid over $18 for and is now listed at $15, WTF Amazon. But it’s good stuff, pregnancy safe, toner is good stuff anyway, and it’s helping with evening my skin tone back out from the acne scars.
Triple Vitamin C Serum L-Ascorbic Acid - Vit C oil to help you fake that “pregnant glow” that we were all promised...
Bio-Oil Liquid Purcellin Oil - I use an off brand that I got on clearance but omg...like...I know this stuff is expensive but it’s a miracle. You just dab some on your scarred places, like the acne marks, or where your stupid fucking cat decided your hand was a snack and ripped a hole on your hand, or dark spots on your legs because you’re still bad at shaving leg hair and not leg skin, and I swear it fades SO FAST. Also rub it all over your boobs and belly. Like pretty much I would bathe in this from the neck down if it wouldn’t bankrupt my family.
Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream for Dry/Sensitive Skin - Old faithful, the moisturizer. A tiny bit goes a long way. Also tends to make its way to my boobs when I’m tired and dont feel like using other lotions.

Body:
NIVEA Q10 Skin Firming Hydration Body Lotion - Bought pre-pregnancy. I used to use it every single morning and night on my thighs and it totally does reduce the appearance of cellulite. Now I use it lazily but it’s there and smells ok so it’s my go-to body lotion.
Lansinoh Hpa Lanolin Nipple Soothing Cream - my nipples are pierced and those things get dry in the winter. Baby may not be here yet but I went ahead and decided to try this stuff out. Seems legit. It’s super thick, moreso than Vaseline but I dig it.

I also use special toothpaste (not because pregnant, because shit teeth), a special washcloth (because I developed keratosis pilaris (sp?) and I wasn’t having it. The special rag put a stop to it FAST), lady-bits wash (because I get self conscious about sweating and smelling funky), special “sensitive skin” lube, and well I guess that’s about it. I sound like an amazon ad for many products. I’m not. Just a researcher/lover of my husband describing me as “so soft” when he touches me. 🤗

u/scumteam14 · 2 pointsr/SkincareAddiction

> Would differin be more effective for acne?

Yes! Adapalene (Differin) is definitely more effective than retinol for acne.

> If so, should I not use the neutrogena in the same place?

Maaayyyybe. Some retinol moisturizers contain such an insignificant amount of retinol that it would be fine to use, but if you don't know the concentration I would drop it while introducing Differin (better safe than sorry!) You could always play around with it after Differin is fully introduced to see if your skin can handle it.

>Would differin be as likely to help with general glow?

Not sure - I guess it depends on how well you handle the dryness

>Does anyone have a BP recommendation because I’m ready to try that on my chin zits too!!

I wouldn't use BP if you're planning on introducing Differin, but

2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide

So, your cleanser should be straying away from "acne washes" or acids. They're rarely on your skin long enough to do anything, and usually just heighten the pH. The apricot scrub is terrible for you face, but you can use it on your body! Coconut oil has a very high comedogenic rating, however that doesn't mean it will clog your pores or break you out. Coconut oil's molecules are too big to actually moisturize and penetrate the skin. You're better off with an actual face oil or a carrier oil, and leave the coconut oil for cooking! Start by finding a low pH cleanser (you can find a master list of already tested cleansers on r/asianbeauty ). A toner without alcohol (fatty alcohols are okay), an oil-free moisturizer and a sunscreen without dimethicone (ingredients list) or oxybenzone (sunscreen active). If you want some physical exfoliation (your skin is still too young for chemical exfoliating) try something like a peel. There's a super cute one from Holika Holika that's shaped like an egg, and not super expensive!( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01565F2ZG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_D-8FzbA607JBD ). It's non-abrasive like a sugar or walnut scrub. Good luck!

Generally blessed to have good skin, until I started breaking out like mad a few months back on my forehead and upper lip area.

Upon the advice of a friend, I tried AHA/BHA to clear myself up from Paula's Choice and Drunken Elephant's Babyfacial but it seemed to make everything much worse.

I finally went to HeyDay and my facialist berated me for following the advice that wasn't right for my skin type. Her theory was that my pores were getting clogged and irritated from being extremely dehydrated (NYC winters) and suggested that I use a gentler cleanser, an exfoliant, and an intense healing balm.

My skin is SO much better now with the extra moisture so my regimen is as follows:

Grown Alchemist Gel Cleanser - Half pump to remove make-up, half pump to cleanse. Day and nighttime.

[Naturopathica Healing Balm] (https://www.amazon.com/Naturopathica-Gotu-Kola-Healing-Balm/dp/B01H60XAH6) Mix with HA and/or MH Vitamin C serum to make it less thick. Use higher concentration at night for healing and less in day because it can be a bit shiny.

[Cosmedica Hyaluronic Acid] (https://www.amazon.com/Hyaluronic-Pure-Highest-Anti-Aging-Non-greasy-Paraben-free-Best/dp/B0090UJFYI/ref=sr_1_4_s_it?s=beauty&ie=UTF8&qid=1522688559&sr=1-4&keywords=hyaluronic+acid) Honestly, just the Amazon default HA and suits my purposes to mix with the Naturopathica Healing Balm.

[Mad Hippie Vitamin C Serum] (https://www.amazon.com/Mad-Hippie-Vitamin-Hyaluronic-Ferulic/dp/B00DKF7XPW/ref=sr_1_1_s_it?s=beauty&ie=UTF8&qid=1522688609&sr=1-1&keywords=mad+hippie+vitamin+c+serum) Mix with Naturopathica Healing Balm. I bought this on a whim and my skin got worse when I ran out so I re-introduced this back into my regimen as an HA alternative.

[Grown Alchemist Exfoliant] (https://www.amazon.com/Grown-Alchemist-Polishing-Facial-Exfoliant/dp/B00G3J8J96/ref=sr_ph_1_s_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1522688670&sr=sr-1&keywords=grown+alchemist+exfoliant) Use 2-3x a week to gently exfoliate at nighttime after cleansing.

[Mad Hippie Sunscreen] (https://www.amazon.com/Mad-Hippie-Products-Facial-Broad-Spectrum/dp/B018E92YAC/ref=sr_1_1_s_it?s=beauty&ie=UTF8&qid=1522688706&sr=1-1&keywords=mad+hippie+sunscreen) Terrible at using this daily, but that is the goal!

As someone who used to have terrible acne, I understand the situation. I have a face scrub and cream that I use that have cleared my skin up. I still get pimples every now and then, but for the most part, my skin is very clear. And just to be clear, my skin cleared up COMPLETELY because of the scrub and cream that I use. If I stop using it, my face breaks out again.

This is the scrub:

And this is the cream:

I wash and apply the cream once in the morning and once before bed. The cream is a spot cream, so you're supposed to apply a bit to each pimple. It also helps to just generally try and be a healthy person. Showering and eating better will usually help. Good luck!

After reading through posts on this sub, your replies and the sidebar, I've created a basic(evolving) plan.

Living in India, I don't have access to the products suggested. And price is an issue too. But, I've tried finding similar products/formulations and will spot-test them before including them in my routine.

Being a complete newbie to skin care, I will introduce one product at a time, to better find out what works for my skin and what doesn't.

I've also fixed an appointment with a dermatologist to get my cheek checked.

It wouldn't be possible without this community of beautiful people.

Here is the plan I created. :

Skincare products:

  • Sunscreen: Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Drytouch Sunblock SPF 50+

  • Moisturiser Face: Jovees Ayurvedic Anti-Blemish Pigmentation Cream

  • Moisturiser Body: Nivea Body Lotion Smooth Milk

  • Vitamin C serum: Cosmoderm Vitamin C serum 20% De-Tone

  • Niacinamide and BHA exfoliant: Sebogel

  • Cleanser: Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Cleanser

  • Spot Treatment for the right cheek: Tretinoin 0.02%

    Skincare plan:

  • Step 1: (2 weeks)
    Cleanser, Moisturiser, Sunscreen, Tretinoin
  • Step 2: (2 weeks)
    +Vitamin C serum.
  • Step 3: (2 weeks)
    +Niacinamide/BHA Exfoliant.

Skincare routine: (Evolves according to Skincare plan)

AM (Cleanser, Vitamin C serum, Moisturiser, Sunscreen)

  • Wash with Cleanser

  • Wait until face is dry

  • Vitamin C serum

  • Wait 20-30 mins for serum to sink in

  • Moisturise

  • Wait until moisturiser dries

  • Sunscreen

PM (Cleanser, BHA exfoliant, Tretinoin, Moisturiser)

  • Wash with Cleanser

  • Wait until face is dry

  • Exfoliate

  • Wait until exfoliant dries

  • Spot treat with tretinoin

  • Wait 20-30 mins for tretinoin to sink in

  • Moisturise

Please let me know how it looks and if I should make any changes/amendments to the current plan.

sounds like you just have a dry skintype with an oily T-zone, which is really common. i’d recommend getting a simple cleanser (I always recommend neutrogena and think this might be a good fit: https://www.amazon.in/Neutrogena-Free-Acne-Face-175ml/dp/B006LXDMCS) and an SPF 15 lotion (just remember to buy from the skincare aisle! not all sunscreen is best for face application) to apply after washing in the morning. At night you can apply a layer of moisturizer (i think gel moisturizers are worth more than light lotions and this is a pretty good one that won’t break the bank: https://www.amazon.in/Garnier-Moisture-Refreshing-Gel-Cream-1-70-Fluid/dp/B003RF82UK)

She uses this aloe vera gel: https://www.amazon.com/Patanjali-Aloe-Vera-Gel-Pack/dp/B06WP7GKFF

But it's not like she does research. she just hears it from a friend and tries it. I think that's all she really does, but I dont think that stuff works, or is relevant to what she needs.

Thank u for the warning about the Phsyical exfoliant, but would it be okay to go with the Derma E and just warn her to be careful/go slow? If not, Ill go with that glycolic toner instead, which you seem to suggest is gentler.

Also, is the PA++++ necessary, or is SPF 110 good enough? Here is one: https://www.amazon.ca/Neutrogena-Sunscreen-Lotion-Ultra-Resistant/dp/B00ET04P2G/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=spf+50+UVB&qid=1559344100&s=gateway&sr=8-2

Im having trouble finding PA++++ that ships on time (She has a wedding coming up)

So, one last time, IM SO SORRY for taking so much of your time:

AM:

-20% Vitamin C Serum

-Moisturizer (Hyrdo Boost)

-Sunscreen

Then for nighttime:

-Derma E (or Glycolic Solution) Toner Exfoliant (every 3 days or so)

-Hydro Boost Moisturizer

One question: Where does a face wash fit into this? Should she not be using a facewash before all this? https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0010XP4NO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

We have this face wash, is it okay?

THANK U SO MUCH

I'm looking for some help. I don't really even know how to classify my skin issues, which I think is part of the reason nothing has helped very much.

As you can see I have a lot of redness, acne scars, and possibly wrinkles? I can't tell if they are wrinkles or pores or something else. Also, I took a second picture zoomed in on my upper lip to show my biggest problem area. Are these pores? They seem very massive to be pores, and I didn't have them before my skin endured a fair amount of sun damage.

Basically I'm wanting to reduce oilyness, redness, and have a smooth upper lip like I used to. Any advice would be VERY appreciated!

Right now I use: cleanser: https://www.amazon.com/Roche-Posay-Effaclar-Purifying-Foaming-Cleanser/dp/B002P3L99G recommended by my derm, hasn't seemed to have helped

moisturizer AM & pm: http://www.garnierusa.com/products/skincare/clearly-brighter/daily-spf-moisturizers/clearly-brighter-anti-sun-damage-daily-spf30.aspx this has definitely gave my face a brighter appearance and has reduced sun damage a bit but not a lot

This is all I use right now. I am open to replacements for either of these or new products on top of these. Decided to use some of my tax refund to hopefully feel better about my skin!

Thank you!!!!

Are you talking about the gel that you rub onto your skin in circles and it brings up all the dirt and dead skin? If so, I love that stuff. I heard it uses papaya enzymes. I'm pretty confident that the little dead skin balls aren't all dead skin, they are mostly made up of the product after it reacts with your dead skin, but I still LOVE how it makes my skin feel super smooth after using it.

To specifically answer your question, no, I have not found anything cheaper. I purchased this a while back with high hopes, but in my opinion it did not work NEARLY as well. So I just use the EWC stuff sparingly so I don't have to buy it too often.

I have super sensitive dry skin (I recently figured out that cetyl alcohol family is one key irritant and fragrance is another) here are the product that are in my regular routine:

Cleanser/peel - Missha Super Aqua Detoxifying Peeling Gel I use this 2-3 times a week to get rid of dry skin.

Toner - BENTON Snail Bee High Content Skin I notice that I absorb my essence and moisturizer better when using this beforehand. In the summer I simply use the Skin/toner and the essence and I am set, no need for moisturizer as it is moderately moisturizing ( in summer only).

Essence/Serum - BENTON Snail Bee High Content Essence

Moisturizer - BENTON Snail Bee High Content Steam Cream

Mask - My Beauty Diary Mask, Luffa I use these 2-3 times a week to help calm and plump my dry winter skin. it leaves my skin with a healthy glow.

I also supplement with a few american products:

For daily cleaning I use these wipes Olay Regenerist Micro-Exfoliating Wet Cleansing Cloths 2x a day: morning and evening (double cleansing and daily use of washes is too harsh for my skin)

I use this stuff to help with my rosacea (curse of the Celts):

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000P1S0NI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_L2niyb0S7931F

Don't know if it would help you, though.

Alternately, have you tried sulfur cream/soap? Those help me as well.

Located in CA, US. Oily skin, moderate acne issues. I've been lurking this sub for a few months and would love any tips on my routine. Sometimes I am not sure when to use each project / in what order! Any and all suggestions are welcome!

Morning:
Wash face with warm water
Wash with La Roche-Posay Effaclar Facial Cleanser for Oily Skin Purifying Foaming Gel Face Wash
Apply Stri-Dex Medicated Pads, Sensitive
Sometimes I apply Cetaphil Dermacontrol Moisturizer SPF 30 but sometimes I forget (I know I know)

Evening:
Same routine, except once my face is dry and right before bed, I will apply Claire-ity Skincare 25% Vitamin C Serum with Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin E to the areas on my face with acne scars. Mostly on my cheeks, a few on my forehead, and some on my chin.

Occasionally (weekly) before the evening routine, I'll use either of these masks. I like them both:

Pure Body Naturals Dead Sea Mud Mask

LUSH Mask of Magnaminty

A few notes:
I don't wear makeup and I will add extra sunscreen when I exercise, which is about 5 days a week. I mostly use something like this Neutrogena Clear Face Liquid Lotion Sunscreen For Acne-Prone Skin for my face.

Hi, i'm new here and recently asked for advice in a separate post with not many answers, so i thought i ask here: i have red, bumpy acne scars from 1 or 2 month ago, i picked on them, and now they won't go away. I don't have a routine yet, but i read the guide so i ordered these:

facewash: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000P1S0NI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

exfoliant(?): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000O1KP1O/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

moisturizer: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LEJ5MSK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

i plan to use these twice a day, but i'm not sure if these will do the trick, so i was looking into https://www.amazon.com/Amara-Organics-Vitamin-Serum-Hyaluronic/dp/B00G2TQNZ4/ref=sr_1_13?crid=3DSL6CW00OCE4&keywords=vitamin+c+serum&qid=1554331845&s=gateway&sprefix=vitamin+c+se%2Caps%2C476&sr=8-13 . Any advice, suggestions or observations? I really wanna get rid of the general redness and the scars redness. If you check my post history you can see the picture. Thanks

Is the peeling gel you're talking about | Link ?

I'm interested in trying it out

u/J787 · 2 pointsr/CFBOffTopic

The only thing that I've been able to do to help me is use a gel exfoliant a couple times a week to help take off the dry dead skin then my lotion seems to work better. My hands are screwed though I have to lotion them like five times a day from washing them plus winter skin.
