I came across a quote from Harrison during the filming of Empire (I think), something along the lines of "George, you can type this shit, but you sure as hell can't say it."!

edit: it was apparently said during the making of "A New Hope"

The "making of Empire" has a transcript of Harrison and Kershner tossing out most of George's dialogue during the goodbye scene between Han and Leia in Cloud City, and making up their own. Fun stuff: http://www.amazon.com/Once-Upon-Galaxy-Journal-Strikes/dp/0345290755/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

FYI, Ivan Kirshner was the director of Empire, Lawrence Kasdan was a co-writer of the script, along with Leigh Brackett and Lucas.

The first book I bought was an E book full of other books.

The Tau Empire A Legends of the Dark Millennium book

Aun'Shi
Commander Shadow
Shadowsun: The Last of Kiru's Line
A Sanctuary of Wyrms
Out Caste
Fire and Ice
Farsight
The Patient Hunter
The Kauyon
The Tau'va

This book is from the perspective of a Rogue Trader and the first crusade attacking the Tau Empire.
Rogue Trader Omnibus

This book is about an Imperial Guard regiment fighting Gue'vesa and Tau forces.
Fire Caste

Fire Warrior Is about an individual fire warrior absolutely wrecking imperial forces on his own. It gives a lot of interesting views on imperial culture from the perspective of the fire caste.

I would absolutely buy the first book listed again, it's 10 stories. Some of them are pretty short but it's neat how you hear about some of the characters again in other books.

Well there is a book which isn't cannon, haven't read it yet but it does take place during his exile on Tatooine.

This was one of, if not the, first technical books I ever read.

My 10 yo brain could not process the technicals in depth, but I slogged through it for tidbits pertaining to the extended universe and the 3rd installment. I could never get as lost in movies/stories the same way afterward, kinda ruined the magic. Luckily, every once in awhile, an Annaud, a Besson, or a Del Toro comes along & reignites the fire for me.

SW is 40... wow... time flies.
