Another great high chair that you can take just about anywhere with you, the clip-on high chair! I loved it. We took it to restaurants, we took it to other people's homes, it was awesome and it comes apart and goes straight into the washing machine. We just got a splat mat at 13 months and we really like it. Our little guy recently started making the biggest messes with yogurt, and it’s nice to have the mat to catch the mess. We got this one on Amazon. .
I don’t think you’ll need one right away, and would recommend not getting one until later if you decide you’ll need it.
These mats are awesome and easy to shake out into trash or sink and can be machine washed. Ours has been washed about 100 times and it still looks brand new.
