Transparent feldspar isn't uncommon, colorless orthoclase is about a buck a carat There is nothing interesting about it, except for sunstone, which is plagioclase feldspar with copper inclusions that give it a firey red color. Occasionally, sunstone rotates the axis of polarization of light to create color interference so that it is different colors in different directions.

Labradorite and moonstone are also semi- transparent feldspar variants with cool optical properties.
