Grab [or make] yourself some 2D glasses. It makes the 3D "wasted", but who cares -- you get to see the film the way you want.

As a technological note, those glasses are just a two "left" or "right" (not sure which) lenses, so both eyes get the same version of the picture. Whether that version is exactly the same as the dedicated 2D one -- I'm not entirely sure.

No, they don't. RealD uses circular polarization. Sunglasses are only linear.
